Compliments, Comments and Complaints.

 COVID-19

Changes to our current complaints policy.

As you are aware COVID-19 poses one of the greatest challenges that society has faced in recent times.  Which is placing a great strain on the practice and we are now trying to streamline our services where possible.

The partners have therefore taken the decision during these uncertain times to only respond to complaints that relate to the following categories.

  • Immediate risk to patients or staff
  • Actual harm to a patient or "near miss" incident
  • Safeguarding concerns
  • Criminal actions.

Any complaints that you may have that fall outside of these categories will be dealt with once we return to our normal working model.

We hope you understand why we have had to change our policy and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation at this very difficult time.

Any comments about the services provided a the surgery, should initially be directed in writing to the Practice Manager, marked private and confidential.  You may also complete a completes form, available from the reception.

You can also complete a Praise and Grumble form for any minor problems or view that you may wish to highlight to the practice.  Forms available within the surgery.

Concerns or comments may also be send via the Website or direct to the Practice email address Thevillagesurgery@gp-c87022.nhs.uk.

If we are unaware that a problem exists, we are unable to address any issues surrounding it.

The Practice takes all our patients views and concerns seriously.  All complaints and comments are discussed fully at a Partners meeting.

You can also contact Healthwatchrotherham to voice both complements or concerns you may have regarding your health or the Practice.  Contact details are:- Healthwatch Rotherham, 33 High Street Rotherham S60 1PT, 01709 717130.  www.healtwatchrotherham.org.uk , info@healthwatchrotherham.org.uk.
